Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using Wisdom Loop (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
2. What Wisdom Loop is
Wisdom Loop is a personal reading companion: it helps you organize active reads, record progress across formats, and capture takeaways in a private, non-social environment. It does not replace professional advice of any kind.
3. Early development
The Service is under active development. Features, behavior, performance, and availability may change without notice. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service as we learn from real use. There is no promise of a particular roadmap or timeline beyond what we communicate on the product itself or these pages.
4. Your account and your data
Content you enter—such as titles, progress, notes, and related metadata—is yours. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, back up, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you, in line with our Privacy statement.
While the Service is offered without charge and during this evaluation period, we cannot guarantee that your data will be preserved or accessible at all times or indefinitely. We intend to treat your information carefully and to improve reliability as the product matures, but you should keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
5. Availability and performance
We do not offer a service-level agreement. Outages, maintenance, data loss, or slow responses may occur, especially while the system is young. We will strive for reliability and recovery, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Feedback
We welcome feedback, bug reports, and ideas. If you share suggestions, you grant us permission to use them to improve the Service without obligation to compensate you. We take thoughtful input seriously and aim to respond when we can, especially when requests are clear and constructive—though we cannot commit to every feature or fix.
7. Commercial direction and a lasting free tier
Our intent is to build a sustainable product, which may include paid offerings over time. Regardless of how the business evolves, we intend to maintain a free way to use Wisdom Loop. At minimum, we aim for a free tier that preserves meaningful access to your own data—for example, read-only access to export or review what you have stored—so you are not held hostage by pricing changes. Specific entitlements may evolve; we will be transparent as plans solidify.
8. Support and donations
The Service is currently free to use. Development is supported in part by voluntary contributions. If you would like to support the work, you may do so via Buy Me a Coffee (Factor317). Donations are gifts, not purchases of services, support SLAs, or equity; they do not change these Terms or create a contractual obligation beyond what is stated here.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful activity, no attempt to breach security or other accounts, no interference with operation of the Service, and no use that places an unreasonable load on our systems. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the Service or other users.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE SECURE, COMPLETE, OR FREE OF ERRORS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (TYPICALLY ZERO WHILE THE SERVICE IS FREE) OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD $50), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for operational, legal, or security reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and licenses granted for feedback) will survive termination.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be raised through the channels we provide on the site (for example, the Help area). We may add a dedicated contact path as the product matures.
These Terms are meant to be readable and proportionate for an early-stage product. They are not tailored legal advice; consider consulting counsel for your situation as the Service grows.
